Meeting Guidelines

Everyone will be treated with respect and courtesy regardless of their parenting style or views.

Gentle, positive discipline and guidance of children is encouraged. No hitting, spanking, and/or verbal abuse at group functions.

We encourage you to tend to your children as needed throughout the meeting as not to disrupt the API meeting or other meetings that may be going on within the meeting house.

The group should not be used as a vehicle for selling products or services, although group members who wish to do so may talk individually to potential customers in a non-intrusive way before or after group meetings or leave literature for our presentation tables, as long as that literature is relevant to API.

The right to privacy will be respected. No gossiping about group members and their situations outside of the group.

Please do not attend a meeting, or bring a sick child, within the first three days of the start of a respiratory illness, or within forty -eight hours of the cessation of diarrhea or vomiting. If it is another illness that has varying incubation times, please follow the guidelines for that illness. If you are treating the illness naturally, be aware that the guidelines for contagiousness can extend in some cases up to a month.

Meetings are open to all interested parties without regard to race, religion, gender, or political viewpoint. No group will espouse or maintain a political or religious affiliation.

There is no smoking at or around functions and meetings.

If you bring a snack, food or drink, please monitor your child so that other families who are attending who perhaps have religious needs or food allergies or medical conditions can feel safe letting their children interact with others.

Organic wholesome snacks may be provided at some of the meetings. All ingredients will be listed so families can be aware.

Unless there is an emergency, please do not leave the meeting house a mess.

Keep small children close by as the room we hold our meetings in has church property and the books and other materials there are not our property and we are responsible for replacing damaged items. (We are currently not having meetings at this location, but this is still a a good safety guideline)
